Covid 19 Update:

To Our Fairfield Veterinary Hospital Family:

4/20/20: Due to recent changes safety regulations, we are requiring all clients to wear facial safety protection.

In effect as of: April 20

The state's mask requirement applies to any residents who are in a public place, over age 2 and can't maintain at least six feet of distance from other people. The same rules apply to people who use public transportation, taxis or rideshare services.

The state's Department of Economic and Community Development released mask guidelines for essential workers, too: Employees at essential businesses must wear masks or material that covers their mouth and nose at all times while at work. Employers must provide masks or the materials to make them. All customers under age 2 must wear them, too.

People who refuse to wear masks aren't required to provide proof that they're medically exempt.

During what is an unprecedented and rapidly changing time for all, we at FVH are making every effort to continue to be a reliable source of medical care for your pets. To this end, we are changing our protocols to minimize the risk of viral exposure.

  • We are performing curbside service only. Clients will not be allowed in the building.

  • Call the office from the parking lot and a staff member will escort your animal into the building.

  • Please email any questions or concerns that you have ahead of time.

  • We will communicate via phone, text or email.

  • If you need medications or food, please call ahead and we will leave them on the porch for you to pick up.

  • If your pet requires hospitalization or urgent surgery, visitation will not be allowed.

Thanks for your understanding during this time. It appears that this situation is not going away anytime soon, and we want to do all we can to continue to be here for the animals that need us.
